Stanley Super 800 return for a special live performance at the The Savoy Cork on Friday, 22 May.

This will be the group’s only public appearance in 2026.

The evening will also feature a guest performance from Joe O'Leary (of Fred).

Stanley Super 800 are — or possibly were (they’re not entirely sure themselves) — a four‑piece indie‑rock band from Cork. Formed in 2003, they spent the next few years touring Ireland extensively until 2007. During that time they released two EPs (Moonlight and 2 Hours Late) and two albums (SS800 and Louder & Clearer). The latter was nominated for the 2007 Choice Music Prize — they came close to the title but one judge declared, “Over my dead body are Stanley Super 800 winning this,” which the band took as a compliment. True story.

Their last Savoy gig took place in the Mezzanine in 2009. After reforming for a few shows in 2024, they’re back to the Savoy for one more show... maybe the last one.
